Student Disciplinary & General Principles
Overview of Student Conduct
Students are expected to adhere to all School Rules and treat staff with respect. The school employs a progressive discipline system to ensure consequences are commensurate with behavior. Serious misconduct may lead to a suspension, kick, or ban, and it is required that all punishments are both fair and clearly explained to the student.
Offense Categories & Actions
Minor Offenses
Examples include spamming chat or being disruptive, refusing to follow simple instructions, or wandering out of class without permission.
- 1st offense: Verbal Warning.
- 2nd offense: Written Warning via the GGM Assistant bot.
- 3rd offense: Temporary removal from class/session or server ban if needed.
Moderate Offenses
Examples include repeated disruption after multiple warnings, skipping classes/events without reason, or disrespecting staff or other students.
- 1st offense: Written Warning + Detention.
- 2nd offense: In School Suspension (One Day).
- 3rd offense: Out School Suspension (Two Days).
Serious Offenses
Examples include bullying, harassment, or targeted trolling, spamming or flooding chat to disrupt gameplay, repeated refusal to follow any staff instructions, or using admin/exploit powers if somehow gained access.
- Actions: Immediate suspension pending review, possible long-term suspension (1-2 weeks), or a possible permanent ban from the school game/group.
Extreme Offenses (Zero Tolerance)
Examples include exploiting or hacking in game, posting inappropriate/offensive content, harassment involving threats/unsafe behavior/TOS violations, or attempting to sabotage the school.
- Actions: Immediate ban from game/server, permanent removal from the school group/game, and reporting to Roblox and Discord if necessary.
Appeals Process
- Students may appeal suspensions or bans by submitting a ticket in Discord under the #support channel.
- Appeals must be respectful and honest.
- The final decision rests with administration.
